iTaobuy Spreadsheet: Direct Buy, Fill&Buy & MegaShip Guide

iTaobuy is a shopping agent built around ordering routes rather than one fixed checkout: Direct Buy for supported marketplace pages, Fill&Buy for seller albums and incomplete links, forwarding for goods bought elsewhere, and MegaShip for oversized sea-freight consignments. Our testing team ran a Weidian order through it to see how each route changes the evidence a buyer keeps.

What works well

What to check

1. The displayed CNY-to-USD rate can cost more than the 0% service-fee headline suggests, so convert at the moment of payment

2. Coupons may carry minimum spends, route restrictions, caps and expiry dates; the advertised new-user voucher pack is subject to live eligibility

3. Basic QC covers visible issues only and does not prove authenticity, materials or long-term durability

4. International freight, Chinese domestic seller shipping and optional services are charged separately from the product price

5. Manual Fill&Buy and forwarding orders leave seller communication with the buyer, so errors surface later than in Direct Buy

Three entrances, one warehouse

Direct Buy handles supported marketplace pages that iTaobuy can parse into a normal order. Fill&Buy is the manual route for seller albums, second-hand listings and private offers where the buyer supplies instructions. Forwarding is different again: the buyer purchases independently and sends the parcel to the iTaobuy warehouse. All three can end in consolidation, but responsibility for seller communication, price confirmation and order detail is not identical. Decide the route first, then compare costs.

The spreadsheet handoff is where most mistakes begin

A spreadsheet cell usually carries a source URL, not a complete buying decision. Open the original listing and the iTaobuy result side by side and match seller, item identity, selected version, quantity, source price and Chinese domestic freight. When a page will not parse, move the row to Fill&Buy and preserve the seller's instructions instead of forcing it through Direct Buy. This check stops a tidy-looking agent page from hiding a wrong variant or an incomplete manual order.

Warehouse arrival is a decision point, not a waiting room

Intake creates four choices: accept, ask for clarification, seek a return, or hold the item for consolidation. iTaobuy's basic inspection looks at visible defects and whether obvious details such as size and color appear correct; it cannot establish authenticity, internal materials, fit or durability. Review the images promptly rather than treating 90 days of free storage as a reason to delay. The warehouse clock supports consolidation planning, not quality assurance.

Choose the shipping architecture, not just the cheapest line

Ordinary parcel lines suit typical consumer hauls and should be compared by chargeable weight, restrictions, tax treatment, compensation and route estimate. MegaShip is a separate DDP sea-freight use case for eligible oversized consignments of up to 3 tons to the EU, United States, United Kingdom and Canada. A lower per-kilogram headline does not make sea freight suitable on its own: confirm minimums, destination coverage, item restrictions, handling needs and the live final quote.

Follow one cost trail from CNY source price to USD payment

A useful row records both the source price and the agent's displayed total. In our check on 2026-09-19, the Weidian item showed CNY 860 and US$151.29 for the product; 860 divided by 151.29 gives 5.6844 CNY per US$1. The same preview added 15 CNY domestic shipping (US$2.64) for an order total of US$153.93, with international shipping excluded. Treat this as a dated snapshot, not a permanent rate, and re-run the calculation at payment.
