Who we are
oopbuy.tips is a small editorial desk based in Manchester, United Kingdom. We launched in 2022 to document what actually happens when you order products through a shopping agent. Our team orders and hands-on tests every featured product. We log agent response times, QC photos, parcel weights, and fit measurements. We publish reviews, guides, and comparison tables for readers who use oopbuy and similar agents.
Founder story
Marcus Hale founded oopbuy.tips after a pair of sneakers he ordered through an agent arrived three weeks late and two sizes off. He had spent eight years covering e-commerce fulfillment, and he wanted a place where agent timing and product fit were measured, not guessed. The first review was written at a kitchen table with a tape measure and a spreadsheet. Today the desk runs a 90-day agent retest cycle and a 180-day product fit retest.
Our team
Marcus Hale is Editor-in-Chief. He checks agent chat logs, shipping receipts, and parcel weights before any review goes live. Priya Nair is Reviews Editor. She leads hands-on product tests, orders two sizes when possible, and measures garments and electronics against the listing. Daniel Okafor is Research Editor. He mystery-shops agents, maintains our timing database, and verifies every number in our reviews.
Testing SOP
Every product review starts with a real order. We record the agent, the shipping line, and the total cost. We photograph the parcel before opening, log the weight, and compare the item to the listing photos. For apparel, we measure chest, waist, inseam, sleeve, and hem. For electronics, we check battery draw, port fit, and cable strain. We score fit, build, function, and value on a five-point scale. Hands-on product scores use the full 1 to 5 scale.
Corrections and contact
We correct errors quickly. Email editorial@oopbuy.tips with the page URL and the issue. We review messages according to their urgency and the available evidence. Our full corrections policy is linked in the footer.
Reading our coverage
Fit comparisons connect ordered sizes and warehouse photographs with the garment measurements or electronic checks recorded at arrival; agent delays and product performance are assessed separately.
